What is a more frustrating career, teaching mathematics to high school students or working in accounting?

There are a lot of things that frustrate me and I have lost my desire to teach. I am considering a career change to become an accountant. I can sympathize with you….I too lost my desire to teach and got out of the field. You would probably like accounting much better. Go for it!

It’s not necessarily a big risk. You will most likely make more money, but there will still be frustration to deal with.
If you work for a large accounting firm, or in an accounting department at a large bank etc., be prepared to put in long hours, especially around the end of the month.
You’ll also do a lot more than just math. You’ll have to be good with the computer, very good with excel. Not to mention you will have to be familar with your companies policies and GAAP. A lot of stress can build up from this type of job, just a different kind of stress than a teacher has.
If you’re not sure you want to move to longer work weeks and no longer having off summers you may want to consider other schools?
Accounting is a very good field to go into if it fits your personality.
FYI - I am not an accountant but I deal with them on a daily basis in a bulge bracket investment bank. Hope this helps!

i am a hight school student. but trust me if we hates learning about math and u hate teaching it , chances are that we the student and u wouldn’t get anything out of the program so switch to accourting (easy hours) and trst me on this , my dad is a accoutant so i know

I am just trying a new job with a financial advising company and I can do it part time. That takes the risk out of career changes. They offer training and the money looks good even part time. They are a global company and I hope that I can make this happen. Wish me luck.
Teaching is good only if you have the passion for it.
My mom is a CPA tax accountant and works from home. I think that she likes it. Maybe because that is all she has done for years and years.
